Intraoral Camera
We use this special camera to get a clear view of the gums and teeth in real-time. This camera produces very high quality images that we can share with the patient during the exam. The camera can be especially effective for detecting smaller oral health issues before they become more serious. For example, we may be able to see small cracks, fissures, and other problems that are hard to detect with the naked eye and an explorer.
Digital X-rays
Our office is equipped with a digital x-ray machine to help us capture high quality digital images of the mouth and jaw during the consultation. If you are coming in for an oral evaluation or visiting our dentist in Glen Ellyn because of a dental emergency, we will take a set of digital X-rays to learn about the state of your oral health. These high-quality images can be printed if necessary and are stored as part of your dental records for future visits. We can provide you with a set of X-rays upon request if needed.
